Last Tuesday, Michelle McKevitt, one of our past pupils, arrived at our school to present us with a cheque for £2000. This wonderful donation came from McGuinness Mechanical Engineering, a company established by another of our past pupils, Thomas McGuinness.
The school will match the donation from our school funds and we will organise some additional fundraising activities to add to the pot. Our school council will be working hard to think of new ways to raise money.
Our target is to raise enough money to redevelop our outdoor play area. We would like to resurface the area and buy new play equipment so our pupils in Foundation Stage can enjoy their outdoor play sessions. They will hopefully look more cheerful than our school council!
