Congratulations to Mrs Garvey and our Debaters!
We are very proud of our Primary 7 Debaters, who out of 240 pupils across the North of Ireland, have made it through to the top 2 schools of the 'Concern Primary 2025 Debating Programme'! What an incredible achievement! The final of which will take place in the Parliament Buildings in the Stormont Estate on Wednesday 2nd April.
The first motion was “All Schools should go Paperless” and the team were successful in debating on the side of the opposition. Following this, they progressed to the second round, where they were once again triumphant, this time as the proposition debating “We should only buy Fair Trade Products”. The final motion "Cities are Essential to Tackling Climate Change" where the team will be debating on the side of the proposition.
Sincere thank you to Mrs. Anne Garvey for empowering the girls and creating such a successful team. We wish Mrs. Garvey and the girls every success for the final.
