Historian Úna Walsh visited our school yesterday to talk to the P7 children about local history. Discussion ranged from the formation of Camlough Mountain 400 million years ago to the origins of the many local townlands that surround Camlough. We got the opportunity to look at maps and research why the various townlands were given their names.
