Primary 6 Are Crowned STEM Champions

On Monday 12th June, Mr Barry and three pupils representing Primary 6 made their way to Jordanstown, Belfast to take part in the STEM Young Innovators’ Competition. Schools from all over Northern Ireland brought along their projects to be judged by a panel of experts on the day. The theme of the Primary 6 project was to build the most efficient solar oven and to create a display telling the story about the project.
Following the judging, it was over to the special guest, Frank Mitchell, to announce that the overall winner of the STEM Young Innovators’ Competition 2017 was St. Malachys PS Camlough.
The pupils were presented with a glass trophy and a cash prize of £100 for winning this very prestigious competition.
